Vegan and Committed to Animal Welfare

Out of respect for flora and fauna, we developed the material "Amaterra" with European engineers. This vegan material is an elegant, durable, and ethical alternative to leather. Made of recycled polyamide, bio-polyurethane, sugar, castor seeds, and corn, Amaterra is a high-end blend that closely resembles natural leather in appearance, texture, and durability.

At AGAPARA, we work hand in hand with teams of French and international specialists to identify vegan and sustainable materials that meet our technical and aesthetic standards. Every material and component is carefully thought out, selected, and crafted with ethical rigor.

In addition to our vegan "Amaterra" material, we have chosen noble materials for our sneakers:

  • Outsoles made from hevea milk and recycled rubber
  • Insoles made from activated charcoal and recycled corn
  • Embroidery threads made from recycled polyester
  • Laces woven from natural cotton
  • Inner lining made of natural cotton


At AGAPARA, we guarantee an eco-friendly approach from production to delivery. The storage pouch is made of GOTS-certified cotton, and the drawer box is made of recycled cardboard.

AGAPARA means "Work and Preserve" in Provençal.

Each pair of sneakers features a unique embroidered landscape, the natural habitat of a protected species.

This species, embroidered on the tongue of our sneakers, is the focus of a close collaboration between AGAPARA and a wildlife conservation organization. Each model finances concrete actions to preserve the animal embroidered on our shoes.

We work with wildlife associations and national parks on the following conservation projects:

  • The Calanques National Park, committed to the protection of Bonelli's eagles and the scientific monitoring of breeding populations in Marseille's Calanques.
  • The Camargue National Reserve, ensuring the protection of Loggerhead turtle nesting areas and coordinating care for injured turtles in a specialized center.
  • The LPO Haute-Savoie, conducting surveillance missions, care, and anti-poaching efforts for wild wolves inhabiting Savoie and Haute-Savoie.

These collaborations strengthen our mission to protect and preserve ecosystems.
